I handle development, performance optimization and on-page SEO on a retainer basis, keeping the WordPress and MySQL site fast, healthy and discoverable as content and requirements evolve.
Key decisions
Rather than rebuild, I chose continuous optimization within WordPress — tightening Core Web Vitals, cleaning up on-page SEO, and maintaining the MySQL-backed site so improvements accumulate. A retainer model fits this work better than a project: search and performance reward consistency.

Lessons
